Houndstongue & Yarrow 💚
I went out exploring & gathering yesterday and came back with a bunch of houndstongue, yarrow, red clover, strawberry clover and some wild rose petals.
It's been raining off & on for the past week, so I knew I better get out when I had a nice window of warm sunny weather. Montana never disappoints when the sun is shining.
This houndstongue will be infused into oil for a healing salve. It's referred to as wild comfrey and contains allantoin, that when used topically, speeds wound healing & reduces scarring. Yarrow works pretty similarly, is great for stopping bleeding, and you can also use yarrow internally for reducing fevers, cramps, and cold & flu symptoms.
Today looks like it's going to be another gorgeous day. I'll be stuck inside for most of the day but I think I'll sneak outside later in the afternoon and enjoy some of this big blue sky. 💙
